Created with passion and that typical “Number Eight wire” attitude some eight years or more ago in a back yard shed by a Kiwi inventor, just like good old Burt Monroe of the world’s fastest Indian fame...

As luck would have it some help was at hand in the early days by a visiting Swiss gentleman over in New Zealand as part of specialist design and fabrication team for an America’s cup campaign. He simply fell in love with the concept and wanted to help. The Aztec gods must have been aligned.” The end result was a fantastic modular pizza oven system that delivered all the qualities of an authentic pizza oven with all the vital design ingredients to ensure the ovens cooked pizza’s in the traditional way utilising the proven thermo dynamic characteristics honed from the traditional skills in Italy.

Aztec pizza ovens modular design ensures they are simple and quick to assemble. The ingredient makeup of the refractory inner oven and the insulated outer shell delivers excellent thermo dynamic qualities. The composition makeup of the ovens also allows them to be lighter in weight therefore easy to move and support.

The refractory shell ingredients include natural earthen materials found here in NZ, rich in volcanic history, adding to make this product a true Kiwi one.

The lessons learnt and the qualities uncovered enabled the Aztec range to expand with the creation, design and fabrication of an equality impressive modular outdoor fireplace product.

The Modular design and the fabrication techniques used enable the owners of an Aztec pizza oven or fireplace to personalise the outer surface of the oven or fireplace reflecting the owners own personality, where they live, where they have come from, who they are!
